Camp New York Partners with Abel’s Summer Camp Co to Empower Camp Counsellors and Elevate the American Summer Camp Experience!
Camp New York is excited to announce a partnership with Abel’s Summer Camp Co, led by Robyn Wilson, a former camp lifeguard who is passionate about enriching the Summer camp experience for international staff. This collaboration will offer counsellors access to The American Summer Camp Journal and valuable insights into becoming a camp counsellor in the U.S.
Robyn’s journey began in 2019 when she attended camp for the first time. “I first attended Summer camp in 2019, and it completely transformed my outlook on life. Ever since, I’ve been passionate about encouraging others to step out of their comfort zones and experience the camp for themselves. As a craft lover and avid journaler, I noticed there wasn’t a journal made for camp counsellors to capture an experience as unique as being international staff at an American summer camp. So, I created The American Summer Camp Journal under my brand, Abel’s Summer Camp Co. An 11-week journal designed to document your journey from start to finish” she shares.
Recognising the need for a dedicated resource for counsellors, Robyn created The American Summer Camp Journal, designed to help counsellors document their experiences and featuring pages for summer camp details, mood trackers, reflections, playlists, and more.
In addition to offering the journal, Robyn will be providing expert advice on how to become a camp counsellor with Camp New York, in person and on Camp New York’s social media channels. She will be present at our upcoming Summer Camp Job Fair in Manchester on October 26th, where attendees can engage with her directly, ask questions, and gain insights into the application process and what it takes to succeed as a camp counsellor. This Summer Camp Job Fair promises to be a fantastic opportunity for prospective counsellors to learn more about the rewarding journey of working at a summer camp in the United States and learn first hand from Robyn by asking any questions they might have.
The partnership will also feature exciting giveaways, providing Camp New York attendees with the chance to win exclusive prizes related to the camp experience.
